LIGHTWORKS OPTICS WINS ADVANCED IMAGING AWARD TUSTIN, California. – June 14, 2007 – LightWorks Optics, Inc. has been awarded the 2007 Imaging Solutions of the Year award by Advanced Imaging magazine. This award was recently presented to LightWorks in recognition for work performed on the HiRise camera which is currently providing high-resolution pictures of Mars from the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter.
The HiRise camera is designed to view surface features of Mars in greater detail than has previously been possible. This allows for the study of the age of Martian features, the evidence of past or present water, the climate record and identification of landing sites for future robotic and manned missions. Images returned by HiRise since its insertion in the Mars orbit have exceeded expectations.
This recognition comes to LightWorks Optics for “providing superior solutions using sophisticated imaging technology”. LightWorks Optics is pleased to accept this award from Advanced Imaging magazine which is “the leading magazine in the imaging industry”.
