AS OUTSTANDING SMALL BUSINESS PARTNER

TUSTIN, California. – April 12, 2006 – LightWorks Optics was recently notified of its selection by Lockheed Martin [NYSE: LMT] as an outstanding small business partner for 2005. LightWorks Optics, Inc., a Tustin California based company, is a leading solutions provider focused on the design and development of advanced integrated optical systems. Each year, Lockheed Martin recognizes a select group of small business partners who have consistently provided outstanding products and technical support during the past year. Lockheed Martin has thousands of suppliers, and only a few of the small business suppliers are recognized for their outstanding products and services.

LightWorks also received this award from Lockheed Martin in 2003.

At the 11^th annual awards banquet to be held on April 10 in Orlando, FL, executives from Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control and Simulation, Training & Support business units will be presenting awards to less than 20 companies of their 4,000 plus supplier base.
