LIGHTWORKS OPTICS RECOGNIZED BY LOCKHEED MARTIN

AS OUTSTANDING SMALL BUSINESS PARTNER

 

 

TUSTIN, Calif.June 1, 2004 – LightWorks Optics, Inc., a leading solutions partner for advanced integrated optical systems, was recognized by Lockheed Martin [NYSE: LMT] Missiles and Fire Control as an outstanding small business provider for 2003.  Each year, the Lockheed Martin business units in Central Florida and Dallas nominate and select small businesses that have consistently provided outstanding support and products during the past year.  Though the corporation has thousands of suppliers, only a few of the small business suppliers are recognized for their outstanding quality in goods and service.

 

At the 9th annual awards banquet held on April 26 in Orlando, Fla., executives from the Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control and Simulation, Training & Support businesses presented awards to 16 companies. 

 

“Small business providers are critical partners in enabling Lockheed Martin to successfully meet our customers’ requirements,” said Stan Arthur, president of Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control’s Orlando Operations.  “The corporation relies heavily on materials and services, solutions, resources and components through small businesses.”
